It is a program of the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism (NIAAA). This site contains information on specific alcohol and underage drinking policy issues. In addition, there are links to find specific laws that relate to alcohol use and underage drinking in the state of Michigan.

AlcoholScreening.org is a free service of Join Together, a project of the Boston University School of Public Health. AlcoholScreening.org helps individuals assess their own alcohol consumption patterns to determine if their drinking is likely to be harming their health or increasing their risk for future harm. Through education and referral, the site urges those whose drinking is harmful or hazardous to take positive action, and informs all adults who consume alcohol about guidelines and caveats for lower-risk drinking.

Enforcement Training Center http://www.udetc.org/ The Underage Drinking Enforcement Training Center was established by the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (within the US Department of Justine) to support its Enforcing Underage Drinking Laws Program. NATIONAL INSTITUTE ON ALCOHOL ABUSE AND ALCOHOLISM (NIAAA) NIAA outlines strategies for preventing underage drinking that consider the role of schools, extracurricular activities, families, the community and policy change. Policy strategies also have been implemented that have increased the minimum legal drinking age, reduced the commercial and social access of adolescents to alcohol and reduced the economic availability of alcohol. Approaches involving the entire community also have been employed. Several programs (e.g., the Midwestern Prevention Project and Project Northland) have combined many of these strategies.

LEADERSHIP TO KEEP CHILDREN ALCOHOL FREE Leadership to Keep Children Alcohol Free is a unique coalition of Governors spouses, federal agencies and public and private organizations.
