This workshop will focus on electronic means of data collection and coalition evaluation. It will feature the SAFE IMPACT project, where SAFE youth coalition members use geographic information systems (GIS), to map substance use prevention activities completed around their community in the SAFE IMPACT Map. The SAFE IMPACT Map helps SAFE in Northern Michigan monitor and evaluate youth programs. The information from the SAFE IMPACT map is then shared to the IMPACT Dashboard, which includes invaluable information about current activities, the outcome of each activity, and the changes to community health indicators over time. SAFE in Northern Michigan measures outcomes across 16 youth led activities and 20 indicators. This criteria measures the actual achievements against set goals and program aims. Participants Will Be Able To: 1. Identify popular brands of supersized alcopops 2. Describe the high-risk and vulnerable populations that have disproportionate access to, and disproportionately consume supersized alcopops 3. Explain the characteristics of supersized alcopops that make them an especially dangerous alcohol product 4. Summarize the regulations that could effectively mitigate some of the public health harms posed by supersized alcopops

The University of Miami won first place in the 2020 Red Ribbon Week Campus PSA Contest. As part of the annual contest, launched in 2016, colleges and universities that entered produced a 30- to 60-second antidrug video PSA focusing on the dangers of alcohol and drug misuse among college students. For the first time in the contest’s history, two schools snagged the top prize. The North Dakota State College of Science also won first place in this year's competition. Michigan Higher Education Network and Michigan Coalition for Underage Drinking host Reonda Washington as she presents The Color Webinar Webinar.

Alcohol regulation is necessary, important, messy, and complicated. This webinar will discuss the three-tier system and relevant court cases that have impacted alcohol regulation in Michigan. In addition, this webinar will look at some of the pending court cases that potentially impact the work that community coalitions are doing to reduce underage drinking and excessive alcohol consumption. MCRUD has teamed up with the Center for Alcohol Policy, Michigan Liquor Control Commission, and the Michigan Beer & Wine Wholesalers Association to present this webinar.
